I believe it is:
3 walleyes daily
minnimum slot of 15"
trolling is allowed

The slots on these area lakes has made it really tough to find walleyes over 15", good luck and post how you do if you go.

Fished yellow for four hours Friday morning and 6 hours Sunday morning. Two perch and a sunny. Jigged, lindy rigged, trolled crawler harnesses, and ran boards. The lake map I got looks to be one of those 60's or 70's vintage DNR maps and it takes some pretty sharp eyes to read the depth numbers. Anybody got a clue where one can get a "good" lake map?

I use the "Northwest WI fishing map guide - Southern Region" for this lake and others in the area. It's a book of most lakes in the area and will run you $20. You can find it @ most of the larger outdoor retailers or call them @ 800.777.7461. The company is out of Superior, WI. I have an older version but saw the new one even marks some "hot spots"

I was out Thursday morning for four hours. Fished the west and south ends shallow and deep with jigs, lindy rigs, and bottom bouncers and only managed one perch. Still haven't figured that lake out. Big Mike told me a couple of guys were out there Wednesday fishing slip bobbers and fatheads in 8 to 15 fow and managed to get 6 keepers along with some crappies. Maybe I just need to slow down and relax :-)

The maps aren't exact but give you the general detail. Mid lake humps seem to often be overlooked on them but the structure shown is accurate. I haven't seen a more accurate alternative and if you spend some time in this area you'll be glad to have all the different maps!

C & R the big gals!

Fished Yellow lake Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday morning. Finally found some walleye. Cheated a little bit by dropping down my aqua vu and slowly trolling along till I got a visual. Found fish on the long gravel bar extending out from the south shore in 6-12 fow as well as in the southeast corner in 23 fow. Jig and minnow and leeches under a slip bobber worked for me. Alot of walleyes where right up in the weeds in 6 fow. Caught 15, but only 2 that were over 15". But its a good start.

Fished Yellow on Saturday and Sunday. Managed 18 walleyes, but only 4 over 15". Found the fish in 8-10 fow mostly on the very edge and into the weeds. Hottest bait for me was a 1/8 ounce chartruese jig with a fat head, but a few did fall to a leech under a slip bobber. Mostly fished the big bar off the south central part of the lake. Caught most of them between 10 am and 2pm, altough I was on the lake at 5:30 am both days. Somewhat strange catching them that shallow with the sun blazing and the water flat as a pancake.
