Never thought I would say this...

I caught 20 walleye/saugeye yesterday and ended up being kind of disappointed. None were greater than 10 inches! On the plus side it was 35 and there was a lot of action.

Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions for walleye lures! The bait/tackle of choice was gold jigging spoon and minnow head.

I was out on MLK day with the guys, and hit into a bunch of sunnies & crappies. No real size but when your pulling them out as fast as you can bait up, it's a great time.

It is fun to hit bites like that, but I do get dissapointed as well with no size. The fun lasts for a while but then gets a little redundant.

As long as my children are catching fish, I don't care what the size they are. Keeps them busy and it's gives me that "funny feeling" inside knowing that they are having fun. The other day we went out to a local lake with the camera and had a blast just pulling small perch out of the holes, and watching them bite on the camera.
