Well, Walleye fish'n is under way, went yesterday to listen to Ted Takasaki at Gander Mtn. in Mosinee Wi. It was pretty interesting, he talked a lot about basics, but also a lot about how to catch large fish, The first thing he said was, wise man catch and release, hungry man throws theme in the grease! and I thought that was a hell of a start smile.gif and he is a man that likes to bet, 1$ for the biggest, 1$ for the most. A lot that he talked about I already knew, but a few things that I learned, like It sometimes makes a differnce if you use a male or a female fat head, usualy I just grab anything out of the bucket, He explained how he went to the bait shop and asked for 2 dozen of female fatheads, what??
He talked a lot jigging, and pastics and how affective they can be, I dont know if anyone has tryed Lindys bleeding bait jig heads tiped with muchies wigglers, and Fuzz-E-Grub both techni-glo,, he explained why the hook are red, when bait fish are studied, right before they are eaten their gills flair out, showing their red, attraction getter, never fished these jigs, just wondering how good they work? Ill try em this year and test them my self, He seemed like he was a pretty nice guy, If you get a chance, check him out. If anything, I would rather go fishing with my friend Mark, we have always had a great time and caught a Lot of fish. I have nothing but good things to say about Mark, If anyone has a chance to go fishn with him, Do it!, you will have a great time, And I plan to go to Erie with him in June to do some slaying!! Who's comming with? grin.gif
