Perm Shack Floors

I would say the round holes are well worth the money depending on your budget. In our house I cut holes in the floor in squares and thats the biggest pain in the a$$ to deal with when moving the house or trying to fit the cover on snug. actually thinking about converting over to round holes aslo indoor/outdoor carpet would be nice.

Thank you for all of the info so far, building a fish house is not as simple as one plans it out to be. I am thinking about building the floor and then bolting skids on each side so I can take them off if needed.

I do not plan on insulating the floor, I don't think it is that important if I use hole covers and a heater close to the floor.

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THEIR FLOORING BEING PUT TOGETHER? If so, please post them on this thread.

Thanks again for the help.

I have seen houses with the floor built with wood and then they bolted a bracket on each end. the bracket had a leg on it that connected to a 3inch pipe that was used as the runner. this could be unbolted in the future if need be.

I saw something like this up at Millaca at the fish house store. They had it hanging on the wall as a demonstrator model. It was made of 3" exhaust pipe welded to brackets to attach to the bottom of a house. The people who built it claimed that if it were ever to freeze down, that you would just have to hook up a hose to your tailpipe, and let the tubes heat up and thaw the ice. Then just pull it away. I don't know if it ever got off the ground or not. It sounds like it would work though.
