wmn luv me walleye fearme
Was thinking about smoking a shoulder this weekend. usually I put it on at night before I go to bed and take it off about 3 the next afternoon. This would be my first time doing it when its this cold out. (The post below got me thinking about it, I've done a couple in the fall but it was still 30-40 degrees at night) I imagine I will burn through the coals a lot quicker but just curious if I will have to wake up in the middle of the night and add coals or whether that first big batch would get me until the morning. Just dont want it dying out at 3 am and freezing on me. Figured I know I;ve seen some winter pictures with the egg on here before so someone probably knows what to expectthanks a lot
FishHawk11
I dont have the Green Egg but some of the best food that I have smoked has been in the dead of winter. It's easier to smoke at lower temps which allow for you to smoke it longer, which may be somthing to think about if you plan on it being done at a specific time. Goof luck, with it.
