Dragonsm
I really am having great luck this week. The corsica is back together again and running great just in time for my truck to toss a code.2002 F-150 with the 5.4 (70,000 miles with probably what is the original t-stat)had the code read the other night and it was a P1025-Insufficient Coolant Temperature to enter Closed LoopGuess temp/coolant work was so much fun on the corsica that I'll be doing it again. My first instict was to check the coolant level which it seems fine.Next thought I am thinking is to change out the thermostat. Right now the temp gauge reads real low and the heater does not cook you out of the cabin. Another stuck open T-stat?and if that doesn't work, I have been reading online about a Cylinder Head Temp Sensor which will be the third plan of attack? What do all the pros out there think and am I on the right path? Thanks,Steve(maybe I should study up on Pontiac Vibes (wife's car) for next week the way my luck is going)
Jeremy airjer W
This code is almost always taken care of with a new t-stat. The one in the truck is either stuck open or broken.
Shack
Another stuck open T-stat?and if that doesn't work, I have been reading online about a Cylinder Head Temp Sensor which will be the third plan of attack? That is what I would be doing, with the info that was given. Good luck!
Scott K
T-tsat should take care of this one!
