Ram keyless entry

my 03 ram keyless quit working, first it was just the drivers side passenger door, then the back door on the passenger side, then the rest went, all within about a 6 month period. the switch on the door would not open the ones that didnt work either.

could the original battery in the remote cause this?

So your switches on the door wont work either? If that is the case, more then likely the door lock motors are going bad.

I'm seeing a lot more of these going bad on keyless entry cars. I think a lot of people (myself included) push the button more than once when approaching the vehicle because they aren't sure they opened, putting extra wear on those little motors.
