Does anyone know if there are any lakes close to Nelson Lake that has muskys?

Lots of lakes within half hour or so.
Namakogon, Lost Land, Teal, Grindstone, LCO, Eau Claire Chain, Round, Whitefish and more.

if you're not familiar with the history of musky fishing in the hayward area, stop into to the moccasin bar in hayward at the stoplight downtown and check out the old world record mounts.

Another good reference source is Pastika's tackle shop in Hayward. They have one of the best selections of Musky baits around, have guides that also work at the store, and probably carry the most knowledge of any bait shop in the area. Al & sue are great people, they will not let you down. I won't post their HSOforum, but they do have an excellent one, both with fishing reports and an online catalog. Good Luck!
