slurpie
SO i've been trying to locate some crappies on a lake with tons of structure. The lake bottoms out at 110' got all kinds of humps, dips, fingers, narrows and holes and cant find them. There is some 21' holes on some 18' flats that hold sunnies and the rare crappie. But i cant find a school of craps. Is there a certain bottom content i should look for? any help would be great.
Cold_blood
i'm no pro but laetly a lot of the craps i've caught have been in shallower water then everyone else (8-10 ft) and this is on a lake with a hole as deep as 70' and flats at 17' and some more holes at 25' but they've been up shallow and a few i've caught in 5' so ya might just wanna try shallow who knows what'll happen thats just my two cents worth
northernsportman
on the lake i am fishing on right now has a max of 50', kinda bowl shaped. we started the year off in 10 ft of water, fishin them right off bottom. we are now fishing out in pretty much the deepest part of the lake, 20ft down. If you have a flasher my reccomendation is to go out and start drilling holes all over... shallow, deep, off breaks, etc. you will find them eventually. good luck.
