Yellow Lake auger extension ?

Hello all,
I am heading up to my families cabin on monday, and I am wondering if an auger extension is needed on Yellow Lake and other Burnett county lakes. I don't have one as of yet, and don't want to get all the way up there only to find out I can't fish! Thanks in advance.

I would doubt you would need an extension on any lake in that area. The only exception would be if you needed to drill holes in a permanent shack, then one would be handy.

you won't need an extension. fished all weekend, and we have about 16"-18" of ice.
