Mr. Heater/Cooker

I have always used the sunflower type heater just mounted on top of a tank. I recently bought a Mr. Heater/Cooker--same type unit but wanted it on the floor in the house and tank outside. What would be the best way to carry the Mr. Heater/Cooker unit on and off the ice? Do most people take the hose off and place it in a duffle or is there a better way to lug these around while keeping hose/heater/tank in tact?

If you could fit it into a duffle or gym bag that should be fine. As you are talking about using a propane heater inside a fish house, I will share this link with you, about carbon monoxide poisoning. It's just a link to another post on this site.

I have an extra long hose with a quick disconnect on mine, the hose disconnects form the heater and then I wrap the hose around the 20# tank top sticking the end through the handle on the tank holds it well. Then put the heater in a pail or tuck it into the floor opening once the house is folded up, just depends, usually sticking out of a bucket of other stuff in back of truck. Works great, set up the house, leave the tank far enough away that it won't freeze into wet snow near house, connect to heater and away I go. Way better than having tank with heater a foot off the floor and taking up space.
