I think most are missing the "OR" part on the code. you need all the info OR or fishing license number. I simply printed out on MS word in 2" numbers my fishing number.

I also agree its simply so the DNR can track you down if your shack blows away or ends up at the bottom of the lake.

and legibly displayed on the outside in letters, and figures at least 2

You need ONE of the following

1. Complete Name and Address

OR

2. Driver's License Number

OR

3. Nine-didgit Minnesota DNR Number
