Douglas County Pheasants Forever Banquet

Just thought I would get this out early so everyone can mark their calendars. This years banquet will be Saturday night, February 28th at Arrowwood. Let me know if you would like any additional info!

Also, did anyone get a chance to hunt the Roger Holmes WMA that DCPF was involved in the purchase of? Regretfully, I didnt get to, but I heard many did. Just wondering how it was.

It starts at 430 pm I believe. More info by calling Jerry at 320-760-5718. I dont have the cost yet, but when I do I can post that too.

Cost is $49 and includes your annual membership. Sponsorship is $250, but they havent figured out what all the sponsors get, it is usually pretty nice. A spouse ticket is $20.

We picked up some nice prizes at the PF state convention for the banquet this last weekend.

Gotta keep this one fresh. There will be 3 dogs at the banquet, a black lab, a choco lab and and a shorthair...

Only a week and a half to go. The committee is working hard and have some new stuff planned. Looking forward to it. is anyone here planning on attending? They have a cool bring-your-buddy raffle that if you bring someone new, you get your name in the hat for a gun.

How wierd is it for a 40 year old single guy to show up??

I have done this once before when living in South Dakota, I went to a NWTF Banquet alone, not a whole lot of fun.

But I may be willing to try again, it would really be nice to meet some new people in the area.

Well you were not the only one if you did! I talked to a guy there who was there alone and he had a great time. It was a good banquet and despite the economy I think we did well.
