Can't say anything about the SB900 except that I'm jealous. I use the SB800 and I love it. The 900 has the ability to quickly go from on camera to off camera with the flip of a switch. I use mine off camera quite often and it kind of stinks going wireless since you have quite a few key strokes to get there. You should be very happy with it. I'm not sure which body you're using but I believe anything from the D80 and up can use the SB900 wireless with TTL which is sweet.

I have the D80 and didnt really check to see if my camera was compatable or not... Dang i thought that all Nikons would work..Now i have to do some fast research.. But i think im ok..
