Anyone ever ice fish the above lakes and do well for crappie's and sunfish of decent size? Can't find any maps on these lakes only the max depths... Any clue as to where to fish on these lakes would be greatly appreciated. If you want to email me instead of post a reply please do! THANKS!

I went to Brickyard in the spring and got some really nice sunfish and a handful of crappie's around 9", bass ranging from a pound to over 5, and also a few nice northerns around 5 lbs. I've seen huge bass in Fireman's pond also but think the biggest I caught there was about 3 lbs. SO I know there are fish there but in the winter I have no clue. Brickyard drops off like crazy into a 47 ft hole, but where is the hole? I am guessing the best best is probably just going to town with the auger in the middle until I find suspended fish over the deep stuff. Tried once a few weeks ago on the north end right next to shore and it was about 15 ft deep. Got a handful of sunfish worth saving but mainly small one's and no crappie. Tried for a few minutes finding fish in the middle but had no luck... Wondering if anyone else has had any kind of experience on these lakes?

But thanks for the reply, any recommendations as to what reef's to fish on Waconia for the lunkers? Never ice fished out there yet...

Cemetery is a good place to start.

Dont waste your time on firemans. When they have the contest out the sometimes the winning fish is under a pound. Last year i took 17th with a .2 lb crappie and 41st with a .09 pound crappie. Fished the brickyard a few times and personally have only caught small stuff through the ice but some nicer sunfish in the spring. Honestly, I wouldnt waste my time there when if you head 10 minutes up to victoria there are lots of good lakes.

HA! Sounds like a plan... I may do the contest just for the heck of it, never done it before. Winning fish under a pound huh, I guess I may have a pretty good chance then! Jk...
