Anyone familiar with the Showdown fishfinder?

Just kinda looking for some "expert" opinions on this fishfinder. I believe Aqua-view makes it? Is it worth the $? How does it compare to a Vex? Any common problems with it?

They guy at Scheels was telling me it has the worst interference with Vex, Marcums, and Humminbirds.

He said he just about killed his buddy when he brought it into his shanty

Yeah- a guy at my Scheels was bad mouthing them too. Coincidentally, they didn't carry them either. Hmmmm......

I love mine, great seperation, accurate, easy to read, better battery life

I don't know about the interference thing though, I haven't fished right on top of anything else, I have been within 10-15' of other flashers though and never even had to mess with the noise and had no problem, I would imagine if your in a small portable with another flasher they would both be screwy though.

Another thing I would like is for them to make it color, it is pretty easy to read though, bigger fish= fatter line, smaller fish= skinnier line, another thing I would like is for the zoom to be able to read any 5' window not just 5' increments, it sucks when your in 11' of water and it wants to read either 5-10' or 10-15' but even without zoom it still seperates down really good. Those 2 things are the only negatives though, I would say its better than any flasher that your gonna get for under $300 and way better than the bottom line flashers. Probably not better than a lx5 though.
