BoxMN
My wife says she is getting a draft on pass side, and it is cold in winter. I am guessing the pass and 3rd door are slightly loose or maybe it is just how it is with such a big opening to try to close. I never notice it, but she does. Anything you can suggest to try? It all closes fine and "tight" so I don't want to mess it up, but if there is any adjustment to try, she would thank you Thanks!
deadeye
I would open the door and look at the bushings in the hinge. They tend to crack and peices of them will fall out resulting in the door being off kilter. I'm not the greatest at adjusting doors, but I know that just about all GM trucks of that vintage need new door pins and bushings. I did the pins/bushings on my blazer and a freinds 1500 and it tightened up the seals quite a bit. Its not a hard job, but its nice to have a second set of hands doing it. Shack
I am not too much of a Chevy guy, but what deadeye said is where I would start. Also never hurts to check the seals on the door. One might be missing, torn or loose! Quote:I am guessing the pass and 3rd door are slightly loose or maybe it is just how it is with such a big opening to try to close. Box, is the door loose? BoxMN
Thanks guys, no the door doesn't feel loose, but I have never adjusted it in 170k miles, and main thing is wifey is cold on that side. I felt her jacket sleeve, and it was cold, way colder than my side. I don't hear any hissing over there, but I guess it could still get air through with hissing?..?... Hafnutz
Box, try the heater fix that I mentioned in another post. Pretty common problem. Good luck
