Cool "New" Minnow Bucket, Bottom Bucket - Review

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but I wanted to post a review of a "new" product I am using called a bottom bucket. Saw these at the ice fishing show but did not buy one there - I picked mine up at the bait shop in Prior Lake. Basically it is a minnow bucket that is suspended off the bottom under the ice. It consists of an anchor, 30 feet of line and the bucket (which has a float in the lid). It would be great for perm shacks. I do not have a perm shack but I live on Prior Lake so I just "anchor" mine off of my dock in about 8 feet of water and mark the spot. Set-up was easy once you determine the depth - you want it to sit 2-3 feet under the ice. I have minnows in there from 2 weeks ago and they are still very fresh, including several shiners. Basically when I head out to fish I go to my bottom bucket, re-open the hole, pull out enough minnows for what I will use that day and put it back down. At the end of the day I put back any unused minnows. Maybe a little hassle but much less hassle than trying to keep minnows alive in my garage and like I said - so far so good. Not sure where you can buy it other than at the Prior Lake Bait shop but they do have a HSOforum. Just thought people on the forum would like to know about a product that so far is working as advertised. Paul
