suburban furnace thermastat

thermastat for my new heater is not working It worked all fall long and i pulled the house out today on the lake. Now the thermastat does not work. Had to touch the 2 wires together to get the furnace to run. everything seems to be ok inside the thermastat, any ideas???????

Have this happen quite often after travelling. Few finger taps on the thermostat and it works. I call it percusive maintenance.
