NW Wisconsin Crappies

Recommended Posts

I have recently become hooked on pulling crappies through the ice (thanks to URL). I do alot of fishing in NW for other species but have never gone after crappies. Does anyone have any thoughts on lakes to try and any tips or spots.

Thanks to any that reply

havent been to Kimbals since early Jan. the cars are going through trying to get to Kilners Bay, I hear there is one there right now that is stuck but didnt fall through. Upper St. Croix seems to have a better night bite than day bite go by the locals shacks they'll be in 19 to 22 feet of water. I have thought about Bass lake but haven't gone there yet lots of small gills, Crappies supposed to be decent size though
