Lowrance, has a GO gps system that will let you mark spots for around $100. I like to mark, locations that I wish to return too.

The Garmin Etrax will do the tracking you want. New they sell for $99, used $50-$75.

I use mine alone side a H20 and it tracks just as good as the H20.

I also have the Garmin Extrax. Works good for marking spots

and getting back to them.

Even the most basic models will allow you to save a "track" and most all will allow you to convert it into a route.
