CadCruzer
Hello all, I am looking for a simple yet good recipie for an acorn or butternut squash. I will be serving it with a very good meatloaf. I would also like to leave it cubed or whole
Dark Cloud
To be honest, I have never made squash but got this recipe from someone who said its a good one...Peel, seed, and cube up 2 squash.Melt one stick butter and mix in 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar, and 1/2 cup of molasses. Plus a healthy dose of salt and pepper.Toss the squash with the mixture and bake at 350 for about an hour. They mentioned useing some sage or thyme also.My idea would be to sub out the molasses with honey and switch the balsamic with red wine vinegar, i'd probable use brown sugar and add some tarragon also. But thats just me. Try some small batches and play with it...
