clemmy
Hello, Coming up to Grand Rapids area around Christmas and was going to try some ice fishing on my folk's lake. I was thinking of trying for a tip-up a small fireball jig, hooked on top of a sucker, with a ryder or treble on a wire attatched to the trailer eyelet. My thinking was that this shoul be legal like a spinner blade quick strike, but would also keep the sucker trying to swim to keep right side up.... A) Do you'all think this will work? any sugguestions for approximate depth round that time of year? If Ice is clear I'll try to find green weeds and fish their out side edge. But if not I'll be guessing as far as depth and weededge, as no sonar, and only walkout from their bay.... Thanks! Clemmy
Nick Kuhn
I'd just use a regular quick strike with a tip-up. If you were jigging then rig like this...
