mossy 500 problems

Last year I broke the front sight off of my shotgun. I purchased a new set of sights. I was trying to sight it in this year and it will shoot high all of the time. I sights are adjusted as far as they will go. Its a mossy 500 with rifled barrel and fiber optic sights on it. I am shooting hornady sst. I asked a guy at work today and he said that the barrel could be bent. The barrel is almost brand new its only been used one season. Thats for your input

you got the wrong height sights, there is a formula to follow to keep them in line. Try brownell's HSOforum, the sight height calculator is there. Or use your local gunsmith.

Good answer. I had the same problem last year. Solved it by putting a red dot holo sight. Best thing I did.
