bigdog
Trying to avoid buying Geraniums every spring. Have been told to take the plants indoors to a cool dark place. Lightly water weekly, then in February cut them back and place in a sunny location. Seems I also heard about pulling them out of the dirt and storing them in a brown paper bag in a cool dark place. What do you do?
ottertailguy
We just bring them inside and put them by a window in the basement after they are sprayed for insects. Them water/turn them once every couple of weeks. Cut them back in the spring and set them out. After a few years they get a little woody, then we just buy new ones. Steve Bakken
What exactly do you mean by "cutting them back" in the spring
ottertailguy
The growth over the winter will be thin and they are a very tough plant. Cutting them back will start new growth also.
