I unhooked the clips and just let it be. Will i be able to take it in the house warm it up then stick it on the charger and it will be ready for ice fishing or what are your reccomendations?? Gissert Posted July 13, 2004 Share Posted July 13, 2004 You should fully charge the battery at the end of ice season, and then store in a cool dry place. Mine spend the summer in a cabinet in the laundry room. I take them out in August or September and charge them again, and then put them back in the cabinet. They get one more charge prior to first ice useage. A batttery that is not fully charged, and then stored in a place that experiences wide tempature swings is going to shorten its life.Charge your battery now, and then bring it indoors for storage and it will probably be ok for this winter.
