Jari Razskazoff
I've only been duck/goose hunting 2 years now, and its always been on my parents lake up near finlayson... I would like to hunt more, but I live in St Paul, and don't know too much about where I can go, or what the rules are in regards to something near by... Help? MuntzAngling
Geese only honk sometimes when they want to, unless luck is involved.

MN Greenheads
You can hunt on any public water that does not have a local fire arms ordinance. I believe Ramsey County is eliminated completely. The river is okay south of St.Paul Park. All of the lakes on the rice creek chain in Lino Lakes are okay and have enough room that you don't have others crowd you. Anoka County is okay north of Blaine. Carlos Avery can be good if you scout some out of the way spots and go mid-day. If you scout the backwaters` at Avery you can do real well. Check for local firearms ordinance and if there are none, any water you can leagally access is huntable.Good luck.
brdhunter
I was wondering.... I know Ramsey County is not an option. One question I have is how do you know south of St. Paul Park? What about the Mississippi from St. Paul Park up to Ramsey County? And where would I find this information?
