Ford Explorer?

I am getting rid of my rear wheel drive car and am looking at getting a Ford Explorer more than likely. What to look out for? Tranny issues, motor issues? It will probably be a 98 or newer.

I would stay away from the AWD model. Balljoints and sway bar links are trouble spots. Not to many trany or engine problems if they are properly maintained.

If you can find a deal on a 02 or newer Explorer, I would go that route, a few less problems then the 95-01 models.

I would look into a Toyota 4Runner. I have a 2004 V8 and I love it. Great all around SUV. Toyota's are very reliable, and you cant beat that.
