Catmendo
The word "brace" is used when describing two or a pair. In this case I thought it was fitting for this capture. A "brace" of white pelicans in almost perfect aerial synch.
finnbay
Nice shot! We don't get to see pelicans very often here, and would love to get some shots. I guess a trip towards the western part of the state is in order!
Catmendo
Thanks! Manitoba lays claims to having 1/3 of the world's white pelican population. I not sure whether or not there's any validity to those claims, but I will say that there is thousands of them in my area alone! Hear in Lockport, one can observe pelicans at close quarters on a daily basis.
Steve Foss
Great shot, Stu! Excellent capture. We had tons of them in N.D., and I even always see several when we hit the family cabin near Bemidji. Sure is an amazing sight when thousands of them are nesting on a single island. That's a lot of birds!
