Planning a muskie trip within 30 miles of Ely, When is turn over?

This will be my first serious muskie trip. I have a flexible job where I will randomly have 2-3 days off in the middle of the week. My plan is to take One of these weeks and go near Ely. I all ready have the lake picked out, but I am thinking about when to go. Should I go before or after turn over?

I say before...Fish should be moving shallower and often on very similiar patterns and baits as they were in August
