LCX 27 quick ?

A buddy of mine is at LOTW, and he has a new LCX 27 with the 08 Navionics North chip.

He says that he cannot get any contour lines on the map. The lake shows up in different colors, light blue, dark blue etc, but no contours.

He is not real techy, and I dont know much about LEIs product line, so I'm asking for a little help from someone that knows the menu better.

My questions:

Are there contour lines on the Navionics North 08 for LOTW.

Does he have a menu tab turned off that is causing him not to see the contours lines?

I know that it is not high def, but I though it would have at least 5 ft contours? no?

not sure if there are contour lines for lotw on navionics north but if there are i know on the navionics chip north you have to go into map data and have the unit reconize that region on the chip to bring up contour if there are contour on that chip..i know that lotw's has its own chip out in lakemaster..
