18 inch Crappie
2000 5.3 silverado runs 1000 rpm sometimes but not all the time, and spudders at low rpm while backing out or taking off slow. When at high idle shuting the truck off and restarting it it seems to reset it for a couple min. Is it worth spending the $130 to replace the fresh air servo first before spending $200 or more to take it in?
Jeremy airjer W
Fresh air servo? It is not likely to be the part you are questioning. I would guess that the check engine light has not come on yet? Depending on where you are diagnostic time is around $100. You could easily waste that throwing parts at it!
Scott K
I would start by checking the fuel pressure regulator to see if there is gas in the vac hose, then check fuel pressure, then check for intake gaskets leaking, just to start with!
