Overheating Maxima

2001 with 105,000. miles. Stop and idle for 20 min. on the way to the Twins game and the A/C started blowing warm air. The temp gauge went to hot,but when I started to drive again the temp went back to normal. What do you think happened? All maintenance is up to date. Thanks for any info DrJ

The first thing I would do is check to see if the cooling fans are working.

And make sure it is full of coolant

Coolant level is full and so is the overflow. The fan seems to work fine.. dr j
