andy j
I was wondering what is you all favorite jigging teqnigue to get walleye to actually bite and not be sniffers?
huntnfish
When I am jigging and see something come in, I will usually pause for half a second and then start raising the bait up from the fish. If they are interested they will usually follow it. Make sure you don't stop jigging when you see them come in. Your jigging is what brought them there and got their attention. If I can get a fish to follow my jig up off the bottom 2 of 3 feet, then they usually hit the jig. When I get a couple feet off the bottom, I start jigging again. gophish
raise a little bit above fish. this helps distinquish what mark is the fish and which is the bait too. then i typically "quiver" it. twitch really fast without raising it off bottom any more. after about twenty to thirty seconds of this i hold it still and let it stay motionless for a while.
