Lowrance X 65 question

I have an X65 that I bought in 2001. I want to move this locator up front of the boat and put it on a new Minnkota troller with a universal transducer. Is my X65 too old to run on this new set up?

No, all you need is the adapter cable to go from the back of the X-65 to the cable to the universal sonar.

This cable runs about $20-25.
