AaronM
This has been covered many times but I can't seem to find topics with the new search. What are the steps to figure out why a gas gauge isn't working? Thanks for the help!

AaronM
Perfect, thank you so much. Would it be worth it to just buy a new gauge and sending unit? Are there better options out there that are more reliable? I'd love to put something in that I can count on. This is for a '96 Lund Pro V. Thanks much! marine_man
No.. there all about the same regarding reliablity. You really need to figure out where the problem resides - it could be as simple as a loose wire or (also fairly simple, presuming you can get to your gas tank) a sender that needs to be replaced.I'm betting that it's the sender - those go out more often than the gauges do.marine_man
