Lens flare opinion please

Hey All,

I'm curious as to what you all think of the following images. I borrowed a lens from a friend for my recent vacation and it didn't come with a lens hood. I had several images with a lens flare in them. Some I liked, some I didn't. On this first image, I tried to get the sun to just peak through the corner of the eye and create a starburst effect. I failed in my attempt so in pp I added a lens flare. Do you like it? The last image had the flare from capture. Do you like it?

Mike, I like the flare in the second image. I think it is nice but not as busy as the involved flare in the third image, and it adds to the comp, IMO.

Thanks Steve. I am also partial to the 2nd image. The 3rd is a little too busy with it.
