I have a question for all you "experts". I had a old xercom fl-8 that I had in my boat, and the colors would wash out in the bright sun. are the new ones any better?

All the new flashers have much brighter LEDs then the old styles that you have but is yours a Sitex FL8 or maybe a Hyundex FL8 ? The only reason I ask is I thought Zercom made a Gray scale digital flasher.I have a Marcum and I can read it with the sun shining directly on it with no problem at all.
