Just Ride

Monday 6-23-08

7 AM met my youngest son (30 years old) at Mc D’s in Hudson Wisc for a relaxing breakfast and talked-read the paper. Then road Wisconsin side of the Mississippi south to the Winona bridge crossing then into Minnesota and back to Hugo, Mn. We stopped at wayside rest in Prescott on Minnesota side, stopped a wayside rest and took our leather jackets off really enjoyed the picture quest river vistas, stopped in Stockholm for a coffee and fresh bake goods and a shop walk through town and the park, stopped at This Old Bike in Pepin Wi looking at new old motorcycles and bike stuff, had lunch in down town Wabasha Mn, stopped in Lake City Mn at Wild Wings (which to my surprise was closed in January), stopped at Prairie Island casino for gas and lost 120 gambling in the blink of an eye. 250 miles on a beautiful motorcycle ride, lots of sun (my arms are red and turning brown), my sons good company on his new 2007 Yamaha Road Star 1700cc (and he even let me ride it) If I ever get tired of this or don’t enjoy it any more there is something wrong with me.

I did that ride down to Wabasha last week, then rode down to Alma yesterday.

Today I am taking my Cousin down to Alma.

295 miles yesterday & probably the same today!

Hey, there are some awesome side roads, A to 395 north of Maiden Rock and Buena Vista Park above Alma - can see forever!!!!

Anyone been on those...??
