05 Dodge Hemi

A friend of mine has an 05 Dodge 5.7 hemi with a p0404. Bucks and jerk-baits when cold. Any help? What is common on these. 52,000 miles

Does he also notice a hard brake pedal?

I would bet the symptom is only present at idle, Once he accelerates it probably smooths out until he reaches cruising speed and then it acts up again. If this is correct than the EGR sounds like it has failed

If I remeber right the oe ones were fairly cheap.
