Electrical problem

Recommended Posts

87 Johnson, 70 HP.

Tooling across the lake yesterday I noticed there was no water coming out the pee hole, so I shut it down. I need a water pump and I can handle that. Now, it won't re-start. Nothing electric on the motor works. No ignition, no tilt/trim, no nothing. I don't even get a click when I turn the key.

Batteries are good, all the accessories (Lights, radio, depth finder) work. All the connections are good. I don't even know where to start looking. I'm close to my wits end with this motor.

Any suggestions????

Well, glad to hear you got the boat on the water! Take a look under the hood for an inline fuse holder - replace the fuse inside it with one the same size and you should have your power back.

The next question is why did it pop in the first place?
