Catfish hook question.

I hit a garage sale where a wife told a husband to downsize his fishing stuff. I got several hundred new-in-the-pack hooks. 90 of them were VMC Live Bait hooks , sizes 8/0 and 9/0, that I paid three and a half bucks for. Has anyone used these for Cats? What is your opinion of VMC hooks? Are these okay to use or should I just---throw them away---??

I agree, I wouldn't get too caught up on "hook hype". The biggest concern would be wire diameter and making sure they don't break.

VMC has a pretty good reputation. So I say use them.
