Roscoe16
I just had a 2000 Honda 50HP 4 stroke put on my boat. When I put it in gear, either forward or reverse, it beeps, once every second. I looked at the owners manual and it says it is the Power Trim Warning System. I have the motor all the way down and the throttle as slow as it goes. The manual says the beeping should stop then but it does not. Any ideas? The only thing I can think of is I DID NOT have the trim/tilt gauge hooked up when I put the motor on the boat. Could that be it?Roscoe16
marine_man
I doubt it's related to not connecting the trim / tilt guage during installation. It's likely a bad trim / tilt sender. That, or whatever detects the throttle position. You'll need to do some troubleshooting to figure out which has the issue.marine_man
