I went out to a near by lake with my 7 year old daughter last night. I think she got a good taste of how much fun fishing can be. She caught and reeled in 5 inch crappies one after another. She was even unhooking them herself by the end of the evening. It was a beautiful evening together and I think dad got himself a future fishing partner! She even asked me if we could go fishing today. Nice!

It doesn't get any better than that! I don't care who you are. I'd rather take my son/daughter out fishing than catch a state record. It's a memory neither you or her will soon forget.
