Out crappie fishing yesterday with my son, found a school of crappies, I could actually see them, but couldn't get any of them to bite. Then they started boiling as if something was chasing them, I motored in a little and there in the shallows under a dock was about a 40"er. I don't know if he was feeding or just chasing for fun but it certainly explained why the crappies were not in feeding mode. It hard to explain to a 5 year old why we can't try and catch the biggest fish he's ever seen. After that I don't even want to fish until June 7th.

That is pretty cool! Too bad you couldn't catch the crappies after that, going out tonight to give it a try, but won't be seeing no skies.
