Grouse! (pic)

took a walk this morning near carey lake and just amazed at the grouse drumming in the area!...I know I counted at least 4 within 200 yard area...the numbers are certainly "up" this year and they certainly survived the long winter with little harm...Here's another image of one of the males sitting on his favorite drumming log....took this about 75' from my truck and will have to keep checking it to "catch" him drumming...these little guys spot you along ways away!....then "freeze" and slowly slip into the surrounding woods
