I have a 1990 Alumacraft Competetor (was my dad's) and we have always run 2 batteries up front for the trolling motor. There is a toggle switch that is labeled "2-24V charge" and "2-12V run" (or something to that extent) I am away at school for 2 more weeks and can't look at it to be sure of the wording. Anyone know what this does exactly? I am pretty sure is is used to draw the power from both batteries simultaneously, but am I really supposed to switch it to "run" and "charge"? when operating in the respected procedure? Aslo, what is a good battery to buy for the trolling motor? I have a feeling one has seen its better days...
