Sandmannd
Haven't really fished for Crappies on the croix but the bluffs you should have a lot of options. Eye opener is this Saturday so you can fish for them as well. You might want to post this in the St. Croix forum, you should get a lot more answers. tunrevir
Rip rap areas can hold fish if there is a drop off or something to deflect the current nearby, Classic river spots can be brush piles near shore, a shore that drops quickly with rubble at the base, bridge pilings, marina areas because of lower current and they warm faster as well as the cover in the form of dock pilings and such. There are some good areas by the bluffs but they might be harder to work because of the high water conditions at this time. The Hudson area would be a good spot to search though lots of area outside of the main current. One thing you will find out is that the crappies on the river can be rather finicky at times and can make you work hard for every fish you get then the next time they have the feed bags on and you catch a bunch. Good luck out there!Tunrevir~
