MNmikew
Couple of issues popped up recently on me Dodge Ram 4x4 (5.8l).1. For some reason my AC or defrosters will not blow out of the correct vent. It only seems to work on floor even if its set to either dash or defrost.2. My left rear blinker is not working. I replaced the bulb but still no go. BUT, if I have a trailer plugged in, it works??? Jeremy airjer W
Check the vacuum supply to the climate control head unit. I would bet that is it cracked or not connected somewhere in the engine compartment. You need vacuum for the different modes to work. As far as the blinker not working I would bet that you have an aftermarket trailer wiring harness. I would start with uplugging the harness "t" connector for that side. I had tweo dakota recently with the same problem both where faulty aftermarket harnesses.
Shack
What year is the Ram?I think I have seen a couple issues with corroded sockets in the past.
Macgyver55
It wont come on at all or it comes on but wont flash? If it simply wont flash, I would also make sure ALL the signal bulbs are working. Sometimes a fixture will have more than one bulb and if both are not working they wont flash unless you have a heavy duty flasher.
MNmikew
All other lights work fine. It is a factory wiring package (tow pkg). The socket seemed OK. I'll double check the other bulbs.
