Dahitman44
The wife has a very very squeaky window on the driver's side. That sound is like finger nails on a chalk board. What can I do to fix that? Is it as easy as shooting WD40 down there or is that not the right answer either? She has an 06 impala.thanksHit
Shack
Any scratching or etching on the glass? It could be dirt in the window runs. What I have success with in the past is to take a can of spray silicone and spray right in the felt window run (both front and back runs), run window up and down a couple times and do it again. If this does not cure the issue, you may have something hanging down inside door or a guide that’s broken.Good luck dude
Jeremy airjer W
Silicone spray will also help speed up windows that have slowed down over the years. Especially in the winter. Just spray it into the tracks like shack mentioned and work the window up and down. A couple of applications may be needed.Spray it on a rag and wipe down all of the weather seals around the doors and trunks to keep them from sticking to the door in the summer and freezing to the door in the winter. Everybody shoud have a can of this right next to there favorite Penetrating lube!

fishermn
Great Timing Hitman, I had exactly the same question regarding my 04 chev silverado. So has this been a common problem on GMC vehicles or is it more universal?
Jeremy airjer W
Its not exclusive to GM vehicles but a lot of them suffer from slow/squeaky/stopped working syndrome.
